In August, the government announced that it would support affected companies to explore alternative markets after Timon and Wemakeff's unsettled situation.

At that time, he said he would help up to 10,000 companies, but only 830 companies applied.

Why? Reporter Lee Jun-yeop took a look.

In August, when the so-called "Timev Crisis" was in full swing, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it would provide up to 8 billion won to companies that have not settled their sales.

Instead of Timef, if it enters nine platforms, including Naver, it was intended to reopen the "Panelo" by paying discount coupons or points of advertising expenses.

[Oh Young-joo / Minister of SMEs and Startups (last August): We will discuss with small business owners and representatives about the part where sales can increase together and inform you about various new programs.]

However, more than a month later, contrary to the government's goal of supporting 10,000 companies, there were only 830 new buildings.

It is a poor performance compared to the government's estimated 48,000 Timef victims, and it was none other than "qualification to apply."

Large and medium-sized enterprise products were excluded from the support items,
In the case of 'distributors', which account for the majority of
victims, even if the scale was small, it was impossible to apply for support as long as they handled these items.

[An official from the victim company of Timef: We can't support even the sales channel (the sales channel support project), and it's so difficult that we can't even supply the goods, so it's going to be a serial bankruptcy. Customers are also blocked and there is no answer.]

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups believes that it has no choice because it has applied the criteria to companies affected by Timef based on the existing SME market support project.

The reason was that even for Timef victims, if they support the sales of products produced by large companies, other small and medium-sized companies will suffer.

But when YTN coverage began, the government hinted at the possibility of easing its eligibility for applications, saying that Timef-victim companies were in a special situation and that they had reasonable room for concern.

[Jang Chul-min / Member of the National Assembly, Minjoo Party of Korea: Putting a little budget on existing projects is a typical administrative expediency. There is a need for customized measures that can help the affected companies survive and recover.]

Victims complained that they were relying on promotional events put out by private shopping malls instead of government-supported projects.

Criticism has also been raised that the government hurriedly announced support policies and presented standards that did not fit the reality, making the victims cry twice as a result.
