On the first anniversary of the outbreak of the Gaza war, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu continued to launch heavy airstrikes on Gaza and Lebanon, saying he would continue the war until his goal was achieved.

Hamas and Hezbollah have also faced off with rocket attacks, threatening that continuing the war would endanger the lives of their hostages.

On the first anniversary of the Gaza War, the Israeli cabinet began the meeting with a silent tribute.

Netanyahu reaffirmed that he would end the war only if all goals were met, including the eradication of Hamas and the return of hostages.

[Benyamin Netanyahu / Prime Minister of Israel] We are changing the security reality of the region. For the sake of our descendants and the future, what happened on October 7th must not be repeated. Never again.

As the prime minister vowed, the Gaza Strip continued to be bombed everywhere on this day.

In Lebanon, airstrikes were also intense enough to hit 120 targets, including Hezbollah rocket launchers, in an hour.

Hamas, along with Hezbollah and Yemen's Houthi rebels, attacked Israel in unison.

More than 140 rockets were fired at northern regions, including the economic centers of Tel Aviv and Haifa, resulting in injuries.

Hamas said the remaining hostages were in very bad shape and threatened that their fate depended on Israel's choice.

[Abu Obaida / Hamas Al-Qassam Brigade spokesman] As long as the enemy insists on fighting an aggressive war, it will continue a long, painful, and very expensive, protracted war of attrition against the enemy.]

Despite a year of attacks, Israel has failed to destroy Hamas and Hezbollah, and it has come under international criticism for causing numerous civilian casualties.

[Nasra Alkavalani / Palestinian resident] Now all countries and international courts around the world recognize the Palestinian claim. This is the victory on October 7th.]

Innocent casualties continue as the front line expands, let alone a ceasefire.
