Marco Courtois, who made racist comments during a practice game to Hwang Hee-chan, a national striker who plays for Wolverhampton in England, has been suspended by the International Football Federation and FIFA.

FIFA suspended Courtois for 10 games after he was found responsible for making discriminatory remarks and suspended his execution for five of them for two years.

Courtois, who played for Serie A Como, was controversial for making racist comments to Hwang Hee-chan during a practice match against Wolverhampton in July.

Since then, the Korea Football Association has also sent an official letter to FIFA expressing concern about racism and asking for strong sanctions against the perpetrators.
