The Incheon District Court sentenced A in his 30s to three years in prison for allegedly impersonating a wealthy man and stealing more than 200 million won from Internet broadcasters.

The court said it considered the fact that A had a similar criminal record and that the victims wanted strict punishment, but admitted their wrongdoing.

Mr. A was put on trial for stealing 260 million won from three female Internet broadcasters from August last year to February this year.

Mr. A, who introduced himself as the company's representative, approached the victims, saying that he could earn 10 million won every week if he talked to the wealthy chairmen online.

Afterwards, A tricked female BJs by playing two roles online, including an introducer and a wealthy man, and intercepted them by receiving money saying that they had to pay a fee first to receive weekly wages.
