A fire broke out at around 5:30 p.m. today (9th) in a three-ton fishing boat anchored at Bireung Port in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do.
The fire killed a man in his 60s who was a shipowner and seriously injured a crewman in his 30s from Indonesia.
The lights went out in about 20 minutes.
The fire department is investigating the exact cause of the fire, believing that the explosion on the bow side caused the fire.
