What kind of festival is the Ulsan Industrial Festival?

[Kim Doo-gyeom / Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor: The Ulsan Industrial Festival is the most Ulsan-like festival that contains the identity of Ulsan, the industrial capital. Our Ulsan has been the heart of the Korean economy for the past 60 years. The "Industrial Festival" raises the pride of Ulsan, a great industrial city, and is a venue for dialogue where companies, workers, and citizens, the main players of Ulsan, enjoy as one. Last year, it was revived for the first time in 35 years and more than 700,000 people visited, and we expect it to become a representative festival of Ulsan in name and reality as the number of visitors increases this year.

What has changed this year's festival compared to last year?

[Kim Doo-gyeom / Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City] First of all, we changed the festival period from June to October so that you can enjoy the clear autumn weather. The program has become much richer. There are many things to see, enjoy and eat, including the "street parade," the highlight of the festival, which will begin shortly, as well as the opening ceremony and the Nakhwa Festival, a drone show where more than 2,000 drones embroider the sky, and a fireworks festival. This festival celebrates the beginning and glory of Ulsan, the industrial capital of the 1960s, with the slogan "You are a great Ulsan person."

In order to recreate Ulsan's vibrant appearance in the 1960s, the medal-shaped clock tower was also restored.

On the banks of the Taehwa River, sculptures made of industrial waste resources, such as 8.5m high robots, are also attracting citizens' attention.

The street march, which starts at 3 p.m., will be held in a 1.2km section from the Industrial Tower Rotary to the City Hall intersection.

In addition, starting with a cluster show of 2,000 drones, events for various classes such as the March of Youth and the National B-boy Festival.

The future high-tech fair is also being held, showing its dignity as an industrial city.
