On this day, director Huh introduced his movie life, including his story when he was a student at the London Film School.
Director Huh delicately portrayed social issues by presenting "Elege," "Golden Age," and "Simple Life" after debuting with the film "Fungkow" in 1979. He swept awards at various film festivals in Hong Kong and won the Venice International Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020 in recognition of his contributions in the film industry.
In addition to this event, the 29th Busan International Film Festival held a number of events on Hong Kong films, confirming the potential of Hong Kong films.
On the 4th, "Hong Kong Night" was held, bringing together more than 400 domestic and foreign film officials, including Walfred Wong, chairman of the Asian Film Awards Academy.
