The Seoul High Court today (10th) cited Coupang's request for suspension of execution against the Fair Trade Commission.
The court explained that the corrective order could cause damage that is difficult to recover to Coupang.
However, the court decided that Coupang should pay the fine as it is.
In June and August, the FTC fined Coupang 162.8 billion won and ordered it to "not engage in illegal activities such as manipulating algorithms in the future," admitting that Coupang gave preferential treatment to its own brand products by manipulating search ranking algorithms.
