The prosecution, which examined whether Myung Tae-kyun and former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, who were involved in the alleged intervention of the nomination, were accused of violating the Public Official Election Act, decided to close the internal investigation before the charges were filed.

The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office has set a policy to terminate the internal investigation of three people, including Myung, who has been accused of violating the Public Official Election Act.

However, we plan to continue investigating the alleged violation of the Political Fund Act.

The prosecution is investigating former lawmaker Kim, believing that he has delivered 90 million won to Myung dozens of times since August 2022.

In December last year, the Gyeongsangnam-do Election Commission filed a complaint with the prosecution against former lawmaker Kim's accounting officer on charges of violating the Political Fund Act, and asked five people involved, including Myung, to investigate.
