The investigation team dedicated to the Timon and Wemakeff cases at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office explained in a statement yesterday (10th) that it will closely examine the reasons for dismissing arrest warrants for three key executives, including CEO Koo.
He added that the incident caused enormous damage to many victims, adding that he will decide whether to re-claim the warrant after conducting a reinforcing investigation, including listening to the damage situation and statements.
Earlier, the prosecution set up a dedicated team in July to secure the whereabouts of key suspects, including Koo Young-bae, CEO of QTEN, Ryu Hwa-hyun, CEO of Wemakep, and Ryu Kwang-jin, CEO of Timon.
However, the Seoul Central District Court rejected the arrest warrant, saying that it is necessary to guarantee the right to defend the suspect and that it is difficult to determine the fear of running away or eliminating evidence.
