While the parliamentary audit has been underway for four days today (11th), the battle between the ruling and opposition parties is getting fiercer.

The ruling party is protesting the opposition party's unilateral attempt to pick and call witnesses, while the opposition party is protesting that witnesses related to Kim Gun-hee are ignoring the National Assembly.

I'm connecting you with a reporter from the National Assembly. Reporter Kim Dayeon!

A fierce battle is expected at today's parliamentary audit, right?

[Reporter]
Over-the-counter disputes have been fierce since the morning meeting before the parliamentary audit.

In particular, the ruling party strongly criticized the opposition party, saying that it was not enough to adopt witnesses as it liked, and that it was also overusing the right to accompany them to force them to call in.

[Choo Kyung-ho / People's Power Floor Leader: Please keep in mind that what the people are ordering from the big opposition party is not excessive authority to accompany them, but to face the fact that they are suspects and to promptly respond to prosecutors' investigation to pay for their sins.]

The Democratic Party of Korea, which is on an intensive offensive against Kim Gun-hee's allegations, repeatedly pressured her to attend, saying that the parliamentary audit was hindered by the absence of witnesses.

[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: Witnesses related to Kim Gun-hee are ignoring the National Assembly. [Kim Gun-hee, the most powerful figure in the government, seems to be for bulletproof purposes only]

Today, 12 standing committees will conduct state audits.

The Legislation and Judiciary Committee is conducting a parliamentary audit of the Constitutional Court, the Constitutional Court Research Institute, and the Military Court today.

Suspicions of external pressure in the investigation into the death of Chae Sang-byung, and allegations of "life lobbying" by former Marine Corps division commander Lim Sung-geun are expected to be key issues.

In addition, the Financial Investment Income Tax issue is expected to be questioned by the National Assembly of the Strategy and Finance Committee, and the National Assembly of the Public Administration and Security Committee is expected to ask questions about the "medical blacklist" along with drunk driving of former President Moon Jae In's daughter Da-hye.

I'll also look into the situation here.

Within the ruling party, there are voices of discontent within the party over Chairman Han Dong-hoon's remarks targeting First Lady Kim Gun-hee, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, after yesterday's top committee meeting, representative Han emphasized the "public eye level" of the prosecution's investigation into the alleged involvement of Kim Gun-hee in stock price manipulation.

On the heightened level of remarks, Rep. Chin Dong-hoon-gye explained in a phone call with YTN that there will be by-elections in the future, and considering the judgment and sentiment of the people, he seems to have seen this as the limit.

On the other hand, pro-Yoon-gye immediately protested.

In a phone call with YTN, a senior lawmaker said, "I don't know if Han is an ally or an enemy," and pointed out that if this is the case, the party and the government will annihilate.

In an SBS radio interview, Kang Seung-gyu said, "I don't understand how the ruling party leader, who also served as the justice minister, speaks with the intention of conducting a public opinion trial based on public sentiment, not legal principles."

The Democratic Party of Korea is attacking the special prosecutor, saying that the prosecution is not investigating, so it is pushing for a special prosecutor.

At the morning meeting, Supreme Council member Kim Min-seok pressed Han to accept the special prosecution, saying that representative Han even "prosecution" of Kim through his aides, but that he would only make a mistake and then turn it upside down.

We will also look at the by-elections in five days. Early voting started today, right?

[Reporter]
Early voting began at 6 a.m. today (11th) to select the Seoul Superintendent of Education, the head of Busan Geumjeong-gu Office, the head of Ganghwa County in Incheon, and Yeonggwang and Gokseong counties in Jeollanam-do.

According to the early voting rate for local government heads alone, as of 10:20 a.m., Seoul was 0.61%; Busan was 2.06%; Incheon was 3.72%; and Jeonnam was 7.36%.

The People's Power is aiming to win in Ganghwa, Incheon, and Geumjeong, Busan, which are strong areas.

In the case of Geumjeong in Busan, the unification of opposition candidates is considered the biggest variable, and Ahn Sang-soo, who ran as an independent candidate in Ganghwa, Incheon, is considered the biggest variable.

The Democratic Party of Korea, which seeks to reverse the situation, will continue its campaign in Busan today.

Yeonggwang and Gokseong in Jeollanam-do, which are traditional support bases, are aimed at shooting, and the votes of Yeonggwang-gun residents, who have recently emerged as candidates of the Progressive Party, are interested.
