President Yoon Suk Yeol said North Korea's denuclearization must be achieved for a free and peaceful Indo-Pacific, and that the international community should clearly show that it will never tolerate North Korea's nuclear development and provocations.President

Yoon said at the East Asia Summit and EAS held in Laos that North Korea's actions to threaten the same people with nuclear weapons for the sake of the regime's safety will endanger peace not only in Northeast Asia but also in the entire Asia-Pacific region.

At the same time, Yoon said Russia-North Korea military cooperation is prolonging the war in Ukraine, stressing that solidarity should be strengthened to protect the norm-based international order and that Ukraine will expand its security, humanitarian and reconstruction aid programs.

He also said that the EAS should promote dialogue and cooperation above all else, adding that it will provide $23 million this year to improve the humanitarian situation in Myanmar and will make every effort to resolve armed conflicts in the Middle East as soon as possible.
