The driverless taxi from the movie 'Minority Report' has finally become a reality.

Tesla has unveiled its robotaxi prototype "CyberCap," which is powered by fully autonomous driving technology.

The biggest feature is the lack of a steering wheel and pedals in the car.

Musk has announced plans to show self-driving short road segments in person, and to mass-produce them two years later, no later than 2027.

[Elon Musk / Tesla CEO: Moving to a car that's completely driverless. You can wake up when you arrive while sleeping in the car.

Musk predicted that the bus cost would be $1 per mile, but the operating cost of the "Cybercap" would be about 40 cents, including taxes.

The price per unit is expected to be $30,000, less than 40 million won in our money.

He also mentioned that it would be an interesting business model if the car owner let someone else use it during the time when they don't use the car.

[Elon Musk / Tesla CEO: Cars are off most of the time they're not running. If it can be used as autonomous driving, it will be more utilized five to ten times.]

In response, Hyundai Motor plans to produce self-driving taxis by applying the fully autonomous driving technology of Waymo, Google's self-driving subsidiary, to the Ioniq 5.

Starting from the end of next year, we are conducting initial road driving tests and pushing for user use afterwards to speed up the pursuit.

Tesla will receive regulatory authorization to allow prototypes of its robo-taxi to drive autonomously without driver supervision.

In the future, who will quickly increase the degree of technology completion and overcome regulations will be the key to the success of the autonomous taxi business.
