There has been a controversy over the recent re-employment of Kim Dae-nam, a former administrator of the president's office, who has been embroiled in a "suspicious attack owner" against Han Dong-hoon, the head of the People's Power, in the audit position of a large company.

According to YTN's reemployment screening results of public officials from the presidential secretariat over the past five years, more than 80 cases have been transferred to an organization not to get a job regardless of the previous or current government.

Former administrator Kim Dae-nam, who left the presidential office in October last year and prepared to run in the general election, took over as a standing auditor of Seoul Guarantee Insurance after failing to nominate the people's power.

It was an institution that was restricted from employment for three years for fear of exercising unfair influence, but it requested a separate review from the Public Service Ethics Committee to determine that there was no problem.

The reason was that it was not closely related to the job he had in the presidential office, but after the general election, he resigned after a recording that seemed to have incited Han Dong-hoon's attack on YouTube media was released.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of the People's Power (7th): These actions by Kim Dae-nam or those involved are unacceptable. I would like to inform you that we will proceed with legal action if necessary.

Although it was thwarted in two months due to unexpected controversy, the cases of high-ranking government officials from the presidential secretariat being re-employed by institutions subject to employment restrictions have been repeated in each administration.

During the Kim Moon Jae In administration, Yoon Do-han, a former MBC reporter, was the president of the Korea IPTV Broadcasting Association,
Kim Je-nam, a former environmental activist and former lawmaker of the Justice Party, got a job as chairman of the Nuclear Safety Foundation and was embroiled in controversy over his parachute.

In the current government, 82 people have violated employment restrictions from 2020 to July this year, with Lee Si-won, a former secretary of public service discipline involved in the investigation of the death of Chae Sang-byung, moving to a large law firm after controversy.

[Yong Hye-in / CEO of Basic Income Party: It is not related to work and is less likely to exert influence, but the exception clause is applied as earring if it is hung on the ear and nose-mounted if it is hung on the nose, and the purpose of this system is not being utilized at all.]

Starting with the presidential office, the reemployment permit rate was 100% for public officials from the National Tax Service, the Board of Audit and Inspection, and the National Intelligence Service.

Even if it was expanded to all public officials reviewed by the government's Public Service Ethics Committee, only 1 in 10 applications for reemployment were rejected.

The reason why the Public Service Ethics Act opened the way for retired public officials to re-employment is that it is desirable not to get a job and only allow it in exceptional cases.

However, there are growing calls for improvement in the ostentatious screening system, which passes more than nine out of 10 people.
