According to the data on the current status of cheating in the College Scholastic Ability Test received by the Ministry of Education by Rep. Jin Sun-mi of the Democratic Party of Korea, a member of the National Assembly's education committee, 1,174 cases of cheating have been detected in the past five years.
By year, there were 254 cases in 2020, 232 cases in 2021, 208 cases in 2022, 218 cases in 2023, and 262 cases in 2024.
By type, 374 answers were written after the end of the term, followed by 363 cheating cases in which two elective subjects of their choice were placed on the desk in the fourth period of inquiry, or two elective questions were taken out in one elective course.
In addition, 336 cases of mobile phones or other electronic devices have been detected.
