The Korea Coast Guard confiscated more than 8,800 illegal fishing gear they had kept, including a harpoon called the "Spear Gun."
The Coast Guard also blocked about 4,000 online sites selling illegal marine fishing gear with the Korea Internet Shopping Association.
The Coast Guard plans to continue its investigation into the distribution network, saying that illegal fishing such as mock guns can be punished depending on the case.
