The Israeli army brought journalists into the forest.

He claims that he discovered a tunnel sold by Hezbollah and used it as a passageway for military equipment such as anti-tank missiles and rifles.

At the same time, he stresses that the distance between the tunnel and the U.N. military facilities is very close.

[Iftak Norkin / Israeli Army Brigadier General] I want to emphasize how close the tunnel is to the UN base. It's not even 200m.]

Two Israeli mercaba tanks entered the U.N. peacekeeping base in Lebanon early the same day.

The peacekeeping force explained that it broke the main gate and demanded that the base light be turned off, but returned in 45 minutes.

About two hours later, a smoke-emitting shell fell near the same base, and about 10 soldiers later showed symptoms such as a rash and gastrointestinal disorders.

As such, Israel continues its military activities around a UN peacekeeping base in southern Lebanon.

Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed regret as more and more cases of injuries to members dispatched from each country have been reported, but the basic position remains the same.

Peacekeepers should withdraw from Lebanon's combat zones.

[Benyamin Netanyahu / Prime Minister of Israel] I am sorry that I hurt the U.N. peacekeepers, and I will do my best to prevent a recurrence. However, a simple and sure way to prevent the damage is to withdraw from dangerous areas.]

But the United Nations has warned Israel that attacking peacekeepers is a violation of international law and could amount to war crimes.
