The May 18 Memorial Foundation held a press conference in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul today (14th) and announced that it has accused former President Roh's wife Kim Ok-sook and Roh So-young, director of the Art Center Navi and Roh Jae-heon, director of the East Asian Cultural Center, of violating the Crime Profit Concealment Regulation Act.
The foundation argued that Roh submitted a memo to the court on the details of 90.4 billion won in slush funds prepared by Kim in his divorce lawsuit from SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and admitted to himself the reality of the hidden property he had accumulated fraudulently.
In addition, during the recent parliamentary audit, it was revealed that Mrs. Kim kept 21 billion won of slush funds under borrowed names from 2000 to 2001, paid insurance money to launder funds, and donated 15.2 billion won of illegal slush funds to Roh Jae-heon's public interest corporation, adding that the hidden slush funds are estimated to be around 126.6 billion won.
