The Badminton Korea Association has decided to allow Ahn's autonomy for the time being.

"Until consultations with Yonex are completed, we have decided to allow Ahn's limited and exceptional autonomy only for the competition," the association said in a press release.

The association explained that it is a measure that comprehensively considers the public opinion expressed after the Paris Olympics and the opinions of Ahn Se-young.

At the same time, he added that he is doing his best to develop satisfactory sports shoes for Ahn Se-young, while carefully consulting with Yonex on issues such as the selection of supplies for the national team players.

The association's regulations stipulate that sportswear and supplies designated by the association are used when participating in the competition as a national team member, and Ahn Se-young has complained of discomfort in shoes during the training process.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, badminton and boxing are the only events that force supplies that are directly related to performance, such as rackets and shoes.
