Trump leads rival state early voting Harris by 1%p

U.S. Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump has been shown to be edging ahead of rival Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in early voting in contested states.

According to a survey conducted by Harvard University's American Political Research Institute and pollster Harris on the 14th local time, former President Trump was 1 percentage point ahead of Vice President Harris with the support of 48% of respondents who said they were willing to participate in early voting in competing states such as Pennsylvania.

However, Vice President Harris had an approval rating of 51.4%, which is more than a majority for the early voting class, while former President Trump had only 42.6%.

Former President Trump has maintained a slight overall lead in competing states.

Former President Trump also received 49% of support in a survey of all active voters in the contested state, 2 percentage points ahead of Vice President Harris.
