Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will prioritize his country's security situation when deciding how to retaliate against Iran.

"We listen to the U.S. government's thoughts, but we will make a final decision based on Israel's national security needs," the Israeli prime minister's office said in a statement on the morning of the 15th local time.

This is a response to the U.S. daily Washington Post (WP) on the 14th, citing multiple officials, that Netanyahu expressed his intention to strike military facilities, not Iran's nuclear or oil-related facilities, in a phone call with U.S. President Biden on the 9th.
