Arrested in their 40s for borrowing 1 billion won in the name of 'Government Support Project'

The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency arrested a man in his 40s on charges of stealing 1 billion won from four acquaintances by deceiving them that they would give high interest if they lent funds for the government-supported rice distribution business.

Mr. A was found to have committed the crime after gaining the trust of the victims by first borrowing a small amount of money from the victims in a luxury import car and then paying off 10% of the principal and interest the next day.

It has been confirmed that most of the money borrowed in this way has been used to prevent other debts or to pay for living.
