Police have launched a forced investigation into Chairman Cha of the "Seoul Private Taxi Association" on charges of receiving money and valuables in exchange for a position in the union.

The Seoul Private Taxi Association is a professional organization that most of the 50,000 Seoul private taxi drivers belong to.

It is a large-scale organization worth 10 billion won a year just by considering the combination cost of 20,000 won per person per month.

Earlier, YTN reported allegations that Chairman Cha and others, who have been re-elected for two terms, received millions of won to hundreds of millions of won in exchange for positions such as directors and auditors within the union.

At that time, the drivers belonging to the union were tempted by a close aide of Chairman Cha who gave them a good seat, and disclosed the contents of the conversation, saying that they were handed over money and received it back, only money was taken, and they did not receive the promised position.

[Director of the Seoul Private Taxi Association: They're saying thank you for 10 million won and they can't go to the seats right now. The deputy leader and stuff like that are worth billions. worth a hundred million won I can't go either.]

[Mr. Cha / Chairman of the Seoul Private Taxi Association: (Return it to me. I'll just empty my mind.) Okay, I got it. Okay. (You can put it in your bank account.) It's not like sending mail, so please take your time to come tomorrow Saturday. Meet and take it with you. (Just send it to me.) No, it's not like that....]

The police, who have been conducting an internal investigation into such allegations of corruption, raided the union's headquarters office and launched an investigation in earnest eight months after the report.

The police were found to have secured data related to personnel affairs of the union to determine whether they exchanged money in exchange for seats.

The police plan to review the summons investigation of Chairman Cha and others as soon as they finish analyzing the confiscated material.
