The Suwon District Court issued an arrest warrant today (16th) for an Econec employee accused of fraud, saying there is a possibility of removing evidence or running away.
The warrant was rejected for another employee, identified only by his surname Seo, who was also requested for an arrest warrant, citing the fact that he is currently hospitalized and is less likely to run away.
Earlier, police filed an arrest warrant for Lee and three other officials, believing that Econec, Aricel's parent company, passed the military's quality inspection by manipulating test data while delivering batteries to the Ministry of Defense.
However, a former employee was found dead at his home today (16th), the day of interrogation of the suspect before his arrest.
