The Israeli military agency responsible for humanitarian aid to Gaza says the delivery of humanitarian aid was made under the direction of Defense Minister Yoav Galant and politicians.
The move is interpreted as a result of the U.S. earlier warning Israel that it may not receive U.S. arms aid unless it increases humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The United Nations says Israel's large military operation in northern Gaza has led to a sharp drop in aid levels in October, raising fears of hunger and humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
The U.S. has spent at least $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel since the start of the Gaza war, intensifying the conflict in the Middle East, according to a report from Brown University's war costs project.
