The prosecution, which is investigating the "suspected involvement in the nomination," is speeding up its investigation by reinforcing its investigative personnel.

The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office has received two prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the Busan District Prosecutors' Office, and is also analyzing thousands of recorded files with Kang Hye-kyung and Myung Tae-kyun, who were accountants for former lawmaker Kim Young-sun.

Prosecutors believe former lawmaker Kim handed over 90 million won to Myung dozens of times since August 2022.

In December last year, the Gyeongsangnam-do Election Commission filed a complaint with the prosecution against former lawmaker Kim's accounting officer on charges of violating the Political Fund Act and asked five people, including Myung, to investigate.
