Writer Han Kang, who has been silently focusing on her writing activities even after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, expressed her feelings publicly for the first time.

He said he wants to meet readers in the book without any changes in the future, and that he wants to concentrate on writing three books for the remaining six years before he turns sixty.

Reporter Song Jae-in's report.

Writer Han Kang made an official appearance a week after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature.

He attended the Ponyjung Innovation Award ceremony, which was selected as the winner more than 20 days before the Nobel Prize.

As if the outpouring of attention was still burdensome, a writer who quietly entered the ceremony avoiding reporters opened his speech with a Nobel Prize speech.

He said that the past week, which received numerous congratulations, will be remembered as a special emotion, but he hoped that the calm world surrounded by books would not be broken.

[Han Kang / Writer: I believe that my daily life will not be so different from before. I'm a person who connects to the world through what I write, so I want to meet readers in the book while continuing to write as I have been.]

After the brief Nobel Prize speech, I continued to explain my career as a writer.

My favorite thing in my daily life without alcohol, caffeine, or travel is to roll the novel I want to write in my mind, smiling lowly.

[Han Kang / Writer: I think it's important to write a little bit as it comes to mind, erase a lot more than I write, and try to get to know the characters I'm trying to write.]

It's been 30 years since I've been rolling and writing like that.

He also expressed his goal, saying that he wants to work on writing for the rest of the time until the 60th, which is called the golden age of writers.

[Han Kang / Writer: For six years, I want to concentrate on writing three books that I'm rolling in my mind. I think of other books I want to write, so I think of imaginary books that are pushed forward by three books for as long as I live. I have an ominous feeling that I won't be able to die properly.

One writer expressed his desire to release the new work he is currently writing by the first half of next year.

After writing, he is expected to focus on writing a speech about his literary life ahead of the Nobel Prize for Literature in December.
