The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that it will conduct "2024 National Training," an annual large-scale outdoor training exercise, from the 20th to the 8th of next month.

Unlike last year, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said it will expand the scale of training by type and participation of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and will also participate in the USFK to improve joint and operational capabilities and interoperability.

He then stressed that he will create a practical situation in consideration of the expected provocations and attacks of the enemy and strengthen the practicality by integrating joint forces in various areas such as land, sea, and air.

He added that North Korea's threats to the South, such as raising trash balloons, are constantly increasing, and that the South Korean military will show its firm readiness and commitment through this exercise.
