An autumn festival was held in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, which boasts clear water and fertile land, to recreate the history of dedicating various agricultural and special products to the king and the old ferry.

It is said that you can enjoy a different experience that combines tradition and modernity.

There is an issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Seo Jihyun!

The opening performance is taking place right now?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

Ssangyong's tug-of-war is in full swing here.

Ssangyong-geo tug-of-war is a traditional folk game of Yeoju, held to pray for a good harvest.

With the exciting sound of pungmul, the female line and the male line are playing a fierce tug-of-war.

I believe that only when the female line wins will it take a good harvest and the disaster will disappear, so I will also support the female line's victory.

Since ancient times, Yeoju has had the custom of buying and selling various agricultural products in a market formed around the Namhangang River ferry.

'Yeoju Ogok Naru Festival' is a festival where people from all over the world enjoy the traditional culture of Yeoju. It will be held for three days from today to the 20th.At the

'Jaengmadang', there is an event to cook rice in Yeoju, a cauldron that has been very popular every year.

You can see rice cooked with up to 120 kilograms of Yeoju rice using 12 cauldron.

You can also enjoy five-grain bibimbap with freshly cooked rice and herbs produced in Yeoju. In

'Ogok Yard', 'Grown Sweet Potato Guinness' will be held, where sweet potatoes are baked directly in a super-large wood-fired sweet potato container.

You can purchase agricultural products grown in Yeoju, such as sweet potatoes, eggplants, and peanuts, at the Ogok Market in the form of Nanjeon.

In addition, there is an experience of wearing various Joseon-era costumes, from the representative symbols of Yeoju, King Sejong and Queen Soheon, to forklifts and water peddlers.

During the Joseon Dynasty, you can also see various characters such as master names, gisaengs, and painters. In the

'Naru Madang', there is a 'wish path' where wishes for health and happiness are written on Korean paper.

In the evening, you can make memories by moonlighting on the calm waters of the Namhangang River.

In addition, light, dance, percussion performances and fireworks that combine Korean traditional dance and percussion with colorful LEDs will embroider the night of Yeoju. It would be a good idea to have a friendly autumn outing with rich and colorful agricultural products in this place full of memories of

old ferry.
