Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Russia next week to attend the BRICS summit.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying said Xi will attend the 16th meeting of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"At this meeting, President Xi will attend major meetings such as the 'Brix Plus' summit and deliver important speeches," spokesman Mao Ning also said at a regular briefing.President

will meet with President Putin four times in a year through this visit to Russia.
