President Yoon Suk Yeol met with a delegation of Japanese businessmen and asked for continued investment and exchange between the Japanese business community.

The presidential office said in a press release that President Yoon emphasized that companies' investment is the part that can confirm active economic exchanges between the two countries.

He also explained that next year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, and emphasized that it will be a good opportunity to take the relationship between Korea and Japan to the next level.

In response, Masakazu Tokura, president of the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations, replied that he would actively cooperate for the successful hosting of the APEC Leaders' Meeting to be held in Gyeongju next year.
