The Korea Sports Association's labor union has urged Chairman Lee Ki-heung not to run for the next presidential election.

In a statement, the Korea Sports Association's labor union said Chairman Lee Ki-heung, who triggered unnecessary conflicts, should declare himself out of the race in a self-determination manner and step down in an orderly manner.

The union claimed that the democratic communication structure disappeared as Chairman Lee Ki-heung's external status increased, and the influence of secretaries, including special aides, who are difficult to know their exact role, became stronger.

Regarding the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which pressures the Korean Sports Council with Chairman Lee Ki-heung, he said he would participate in sports reform, but stressed that he would resist if he abused his authority to ride on populism and create an obedient organization.
