U.S. oil and gas companies have developed plans to reverse the Biden administration's eco-friendly policies in preparation for Trump's return to power, according to reports.

The Washington Post reported that the U.S. Association of Exploration and Production, which consists of more than 30 oil and gas companies, distributed a document at its board meeting that calls for at least six of the Biden administration's executive orders to combat climate change.

Among the executive orders the association demanded to discard were the imposition of fees for methane gas emissions and calls for disclosure of climate-related financial risks.

The newspaper said the association came up with the plan shortly after former President Trump asked for $1 billion in campaign funds in April, promising the Biden administration to repeal environmental regulations.
