Prime Minister Han said in a joint memorial speech for the 76th anniversary of the "Yeosun Incident" held at the Korea Tea Culture Park in Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, that he will make more efforts to find out the truth and restore the honor of the victims.
He added that painful history should never be repeated, adding that what we remember without forgetting this day is to reflect on and pledge to prevent tragic history from happening again.
Prime Minister Han also stressed that he would communicate more closely and cooperate with the National Assembly on the revision of the Yeosun Incident Act, which includes extending the investigation period.
