Start-ups in Gyeonggi Province took the debut stage with the help of Korean American founders in New York, the U.S. economic center.

The United Korean Founders (UKF) held the "2024 NYC Startup Summit" at Grace Building in Manhattan, New York on the 18th (local time).

UK is a non-profit organization established to support the growth of Korean entrepreneurs in the Americas and the creation of a start-up ecosystem.

The monthly meeting of founders in the western U.S. in 2019 is the birthplace of more than 1,500 founders, including 1,000 in the western part and 500 in the eastern part.

It has expanded to the extent that it successfully held two startup events in New York last year with 600 to 800 people.

It was co-founded by Chairman Chung Se-joo of NOOM, a unicorn company in healthcare, and CEO Lee Ki-ha of Primer, a venture investment company.

The summit was attended by 22 excellent start-ups in the province recruited by the Gyeonggi-do Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency, a comprehensive support organization for small and medium-sized venture companies under Gyeonggi-do.

These companies held IR pitching (investment attraction briefing) for 5 to 10 minutes to U.S. investors at the W Times Square building in Manhattan the previous day, and 10 of them continued IR pitching for UKF officials and others.

After IR pitching, he moved to the Grace Building in Manhattan, where the NYC Startup Summit main event was held, where he set up a simple booth and conducted promotional activities for the Summit participants.

Melissa Roman Birch, chief operating officer of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), gave a congratulatory speech and Fleur Pellerin, who served as three ministers of French culture, trade tourism, and small business digital, also participated in the NYC Summit.
