In a statement posted to the Korean Central News Agency today, Foreign Minister Choi Sun-hee said, "The MSMT is completely illegal and illegal in its justification and purpose."
He then argued that U.S.-led sanctions on North Korea are by no means a new experience, and that the unilateral behavior of the U.S. and some of its followers is a threat that shakes the foundation of international relations and profoundly disturbs the global safety environment.
Foreign Minister Choi said that wrong practices come with a corresponding price, threatening that if the U.S. tries to move the world with coercion and tyranny, it will speed up the emergence of a global anti-American solidarity.
MSMT, which was launched on the 16th by 11 countries, including South Korea, the U.S., and Japan, is an organization that replaces the expert panel under the U.N. Security Council's North Korea Sanctions Committee, which ended its activities in April due to Russia's refusal to extend its term.
