The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Post announced that they will push for a pilot project for joint delivery of packages to islands on four islands: Jawoldo and Seungbongdo, Daeijakdo, and Soyijakdo in Jawol-myeon, Ongjin-gun, Incheon.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said joint delivery reduces the delivery time, which takes three to four days for existing private couriers to deliver, to two days.
In addition, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it plans to come up with a plan by the end of the year to have one private courier deliver the supplies of several couriers at once to increase delivery efficiency.
