In a statement posted to the Korean Central News Agency today, North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Sun-kyung said he completely rejected U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' remarks on the 15th to stop creating tension in North Korea.
Citing the claim that the South sent drones to Pyongyang, Vice Minister Kim said, "It is absolutely unacceptable for our military to risk the self-defense measures exercised in the compound," while not being able to say a word like a mute about South Korea's violent violation of its sovereignty.
Earlier, in response to U.S. media requests for comment on the North's bombing of the Gyeongui and East Sea lines, Guterres said he emphasized the importance of restraint in acts of tension-building and restoring all communication channels between the parties as soon as possible.
