According to U.S. media, Musk promised to pay $1 million (about 1.37 billion won) to a random person among signatories every day at a campaign event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The petition Musk mentioned is a pledge of support for the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of expression, and the Second Amendment, which guarantees the right to carry a firearm.
Musk is signing a petition through "America Pack," a super pack he established to support former President Trump.
Until now, Musk has been paying $47 (about 63,000 won) per person to sign the petition in seven competing states, including Pennsylvania.
This week, Pennsylvania raised its compensation to $100 (about 137,000 won) and further expanded its "incentives" to participate in the petition, promising additional cash payments on the same day.
Musk paid $1 million to one of the petition signatories at the actual campaign event.
Musk's enthusiasm for encouraging his participation in the petition seems to be based on the purpose of grasping the information of voters in competing states and using it for his campaign amid the ultra-thin situation.
