It is estimated that up to 540,000 "isolated and hidden young people" rarely engage in social activities due to employment failures and difficulties in interpersonal relationships, but related measures are pointed out as insufficient.

[Fact-tracking] According to the report, more than 75% of the respondents said they had considered extreme choices in the government's "Isolation and Hidden Youth Target" survey conducted last year.

26.7% of them even had the experience of actually trying extreme choices, and the longer the isolation and seclusion period, the higher the rate of thinking or trying extreme choices.

A study found that young people, who should be the vitality of society, live a disconnected life, and social losses such as defense, tax payment, education, and health and welfare costs will amount to 7 trillion won per year.

Experts pointed out that the government and politicians also recognized the seriousness of the problem and started to come up with measures, but professional manpower and budget are still scarce and the legal basis to support the policy is not in place.

The YTN investigative report program [Fact Tracking], which will be broadcast on the 23rd night, will focus on the reasons why isolated and hidden young people built walls with the world, the limitations of the system, and solutions to help them return to society.
