Korean Air said flight KE462, which was scheduled to leave Da Nang International Airport in Vietnam at 5:30 a.m. local time on the 21st and arrive at Incheon International Airport, was canceled due to a "tidal collision."
This has caused major inconvenience for some passengers, who were due to return to South Korea on the plane, as they were stranded in Vietnam.
Passengers stranded there were found to be staying at accommodations provided by Korean Air.
Korean Air will send an alternative aircraft to Da Nang to transport passengers again around 3:40 p.m. local time today.
