Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee, asked whether the uniform 52-hour workweek is appropriate and argued that the system should be improved by creating a flexible system for each industry and job on the premise of labor-management consent.

Chairman of the Policy Committee Kim said at an invitation meeting of the Korea Employers Federation that the umbrella factory should be busy during the rainy season and the blanket factory during the cold season.

Opposition lawmakers are pushing for a revision of the law to expand directors' duty of loyalty from "company" to "shareholders" and said they would create alternatives with the government, saying there seems to be no way to overcome the logical contradiction of how their interests can be faithful to other shareholders.
