The semiconductor specialized university support project is a project to support the establishment of a manpower training system and the creation of experimental and practical facilities to foster academic talent.
Starting with the opening of the Graduate School of Semiconductor Materials and Parts in 2021, UNIST has been selected as the "Semiconductor Specialized Graduate Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy last year, training 65 master's and doctoral personnel in the semiconductor field every year.
With this project selection, we plan to establish a full-time workforce training system for higher education from bachelor's to doctor's in the semiconductor field with 3.5 billion won annually for four years until 2027.
Ulsan City also plans to provide a total of 1 billion won for three years from next year to 2027 to help foster semiconductor professionals.
