More than 30,000 people visited the Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair.$16.1M Export Consultation

Gyeonggi Province said 35,561 people visited the "2024 Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair" held at KINTEX in Goyang for four days from the 17th to the 20th.

It is 2,717 (9.8%) more than 27,844 visitors last year.

The Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair, which marks its sixth anniversary this year, is the largest webtoon exhibition in Korea, with 278 companies participating this year.

For the B2B business consultation meeting, 127 sellers and buyers, including Kakao Entertainment, Kenaz, and Redidplay, participated, and achieved $16.1 million in export consultations through 500 meetings.

At the B2C exhibition, visitors' participatory events such as "Webtoon Power Contest" and "Fitting Webtoon Sculptures" were popular, and lectures by star webtoon artists such as Nam-soo, who drew attention with Naver Webtoon "Right Love Guide," also attracted audiences.

In the interactive webtoon "Play Toon Showcase," which is enjoyed through sound, voice actors played webtoon lines themselves, drawing the attention of the audience, away from the standardized business introduction.
