The Supreme Court has released a list of candidates to succeed Supreme Court Justice Kim Sang-hwan, who will retire on December 27.

Among the 78 people recommended by the Supreme Court from inside and outside, 37 people, including judges and lawyers, who agreed to the review of the Supreme Court's Candidate Recommendation Committee, were selected as candidates.

Kim Si-chul, a senior judge at the Seoul High Court, who served as the chief justice of the divorce trial of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Art Center Director Noh So-young, and Koo Hoe-geun, a senior judge at the Seoul High Court, who rejected the application for suspension of medical school increase.

From tomorrow (22nd) to the 5th of next month, the Supreme Court will collect opinions from inside and outside the court on the consent of the review.

Based on the collected opinions, the Supreme Court Candidate Recommendation Committee recommends candidates more than three times the number of people recommended, and Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae selects three of them and recommends them to the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.
