Large-scale meetings were held to discuss educational plans and countermeasures as the age of access to digital media decreased due to the spread of non-face-to-face culture.

The Korea Communications Commission and the Viewers Media Foundation held the "2024 Media Literacy International Conference" at COEX in Seoul today (21st).

The event was organized to analyze the experience of using digital media and the digital media of the generation born since 2010, which is familiar with the digital media and artificial intelligence popularization environment, and to discuss policy directions.

Choi Chul-ho, chairman of the Viewers Media Foundation, said in his opening speech that the play, learning and everyday communication of the young generation are all taking place in the digital environment, and that the event will be a meaningful venue for discussions on the direction of media comprehension education.

Kim Tae-kyu, acting chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, emphasized the need for safe usage habits as there are high social concerns, with young students involved in the recent controversial deepfake incident.
