The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport denied allegations that Myung Tae-kyun was involved in the selection of a new national industrial complex, saying, "The candidate site for the new industrial complex was selected through fair and due process."

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport released an explanatory document today and said, "The new industrial complex candidate site was selected fairly by a committee composed of experts and related ministries, so outsiders cannot be involved in the selection process."

It was designed to implement the government's state affairs to foster local new growth engine projects and create regional bases, and 15 candidate sites, including Yongin and Changwon, were selected through fair and legal procedures.

Earlier, a media outlet reported allegations that Myung had been involved in state affairs by planning and participating in the selection of candidates for Changwon's national high-tech industrial complex in March last year and knowing the results of the selection in advance.
