Microsoft and Microsoft in the U.S. have announced 'autonomous agent' functions to help introduce artificial intelligence and AI-oriented corporate work systems.

On the 21st local time, Microsoft held an event called "MS AI Tour in London" in London, England, and unveiled "Autonomous Agents," an AI system that judges and acts on its own.Microsoft explained that

'autonomous agent' automates tasks ranging from simple iterations to complex decision-making to support users' tasks.

MS emphasized that "autonomous agents" eliminates the need for users to enter prompts one by one, allowing businesses to focus on making more important analyses and decisions with fewer iterations.

Next month, Microsoft plans to unveil a preview of the function that allows users to build customized "autonomous agents" in "Copilot Studios."

Microsoft also said it will add 10 new autonomous agents to its cloud-based business application platform, Dynamics 365.

The newly introduced agents are designed to help teams in sales, services, finance and supply chains create business value, MS said.

For sales teams, autonomous agents can help them investigate, prioritize, and contact customers via email.

Financial and supply chain management teams can also automate a variety of tasks, such as autonomous agents analyzing data and detecting problems early and responding automatically.

Through its partnership with OpenAI, MS is leading the AI craze that began after the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022.

In addition to office programs such as Word and Excel, 'Copilot' has been installed in 'Microsoft 365', which provides various productivity tools and services.

Microsoft emphasized that 60% of Fortune 500 companies already use Microsoft 365 Copilot, which helps companies improve their performance, including cost savings and shorter creation times.
