Ahead of the U.S. presidential election, polls show Latino voters supporting former President Donald Trump more than Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to USA Today's survey of 1,000 voters willing to vote from the 14th to the 18th, 49% of Latino voters said they supported former President Trump and only 38% said they supported Vice President Harris.

On the other hand, for black voters, Vice President Harris received 72 percent of support, 55 percentage points ahead of former President Trump's 17 percent.

During the 2020 presidential election, President Joe Biden secured the support of 92% of black voters and 59% of Latino voters, respectively, but Vice President Harris' Black and Latino approval ratings are currently nowhere near here.

USA Today, however, explained that Black and Latino voters in the poll are small and have a large margin of error of ±9 percentage points.

In the survey of all voters, Vice President Harris' approval rating was 45% and former President Trump's approval rating was 44%, effectively tied.

Those figures represent a narrowing of the gap compared to a poll in August in which Vice President Harris led by 5 percentage points.

Fifty-seven percent of all voters said Vice President Harris did not fully explain his plans after taking office, while 49 percent said former President Trump did not properly explain his plans after taking office.
