The website "Marine Traffic," which displays the location of the ship, recorded that the North Korean oil tanker Cheonmasan arrived at the port of Vostocini in Russia's Far East early on the 20th local time and stayed until the next night.
The location of the Cheonmasan was confirmed about 800 meters away from the oil shipping dock at Vostocini Port, where it is believed to have sailed here for oil shipment.
The Cheonmasan is one of 27 ships sanctioned by the U.N. Security Council's North Korea Sanctions Committee in March 2018 for illegal transshipment between ships, and Russia's permission to enter the Cheonmasan is a clear violation of sanctions against North Korea.
The U.N. Security Council limited North Korea's annual refined oil imports to 500,000 barrels in 2017, but Russia is also not properly fulfilling its obligation to require countries to report on the supply of refined oil to North Korea.
